During the course of our lives our skin is subject to photo ageing, which is caused by exposure to the sun. The aging of the skin
becomes visible through different benign changes in the skin tissue. Such changes rarely occur singly, but rather in different
combination: changes in pigmentation, enlargement of the skin pores, flabby skin, wrinkles and skin folds, enlargement of small
veins, sun spots, age spots etc.
IPL Photo Rejuvenation is a non-invasive treatment that erases skin damage without disruption of the skin's surface, hence,
no "downtime". Intense Pulsed Light can simultaneously treat a wide range of facial concerns effectively and safety.
What is IPL?
The IPL procedure is based on the simultaneous effect of different light wave lengths, within the range of 500 to 1200 Nm, which
are brought into the skin layers. The different light lengths have different effects on different impurities in the skin layers.
At the same time the IPL stimulates the natural skin production of collagen. Thus, on one hand, within the same procedure it is
possible to obtain the treatment of different skin problems, and, on the other hand, also to obtain the effect of skin rejuvenation.
How is it done?
The procedures are simple; the doctor will start by applying a cold gel to the treated area and dark glasses will be given to
protect your eyes from the bright light. The smooth glass surface of the IPL hand piece is gently applied to your skin and pulses
of light are applied. You may feel a slight sting, like the snapping of a small rubber band. An anesthetic cream may be used, but
is seldom required. Treatment is generally administered in a series of procedures that provides excellent long-term results,
minimal adverse effects and high satisfaction. Each treatment takes about twenty minutes.

"IPL worked wonders on my facial pigmentation and fine capillaries around my nostrils, reducing their appearance significantly.
People ask me how come I am still looking so good at my age, thanks to IPL!" Heido, 41 (Patient of Dr Low)
What can IPL be used for treating?
IPL has been approved by Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in USA to treat age and sun damage, birth marks, pigmentation and
blemishes, fine lines and wrinkles, acne, scars, open pores, and rosacea and spider naevi, uneven skin tone and also for removal
of unwanted hair.
